Before I was a writer, I was a reader. I still remember how frustrating it was for me to search for black stories. We are so underrepresented as a people. More reading platforms are featuring our work, but it's still not enough. I am aiming to create a black-owned, interactive, user-friendly reading platform that centers black stories. An app that one can download on their phone and read like they would with Wattpad. An app that would not only protect black writers from abusive comments and threats of plagiarism but also allows them to get paid for their work. I'm grateful for anyone helping me to achieve this goal.
